Publish
Your domain. Your brand. Our hosting.
Point a CNAME at our edge. We provision the SSL cert, you drop in your logo and accent color. Public, unlisted, or team-only, with a real sign-in flow for the gated case that lives on your domain.
how it works
Three steps. Repeats forever.
- Step 1
Pick a hostname
docs.yourcompany.com, help.yourcompany.com, anything you control. Add it on the Domains page.
- Step 2
Point one CNAME
Set a CNAME from your hostname to link.codesummary.io at your DNS provider. We verify ownership automatically.
- Step 3
It goes live
We issue a Let’s Encrypt cert on the first visit (about 5 seconds) and serve from there. SSL stays in place; renewals are automatic.
Custom domains
One CNAME. Automatic certs. Done.
Add a hostname in the dashboard. We give you a single CNAME record to publish at your DNS provider. Once it resolves, the certificate provisions itself on the first request through Let's Encrypt and the site goes live.
Renewals are automatic. No expiry alerts, no manual rotations, no per-domain configuration on our side. Subdomains and apex CNAMEs both supported.
Branding
The docs look like your product.
Upload a logo, pick an accent color, optionally set a CTA in the nav. The hosted docs render with your colors, your wordmark, your link. There is no "Powered by CodeSummary" banner anywhere on the public surface.
The rendering itself is comparable to Mintlify: clean typography, working search, in-page anchors, code-block syntax highlighting, an OG image generated automatically per page.
Visibility levels
Three honest choices for who can read.
Public. Indexed, listable, shareable. Search engines find them, sitemap is generated.
Unlisted. Public URL, no listing or indexing. Share the link directly with anyone who needs it.
Team-only. Visible only to signed-in members of your workspace. Customers can be invited as guest members for shared docs.
Team-only without SSO friction
The sign-in flow lives on your domain.
Most platforms either bounce team-only docs viewers to a third-party login surface (which destroys the "your domain" story) or duplicate their auth into the custom-domain origin (which usually doesn't work).
CodeSummary does something cleaner: a viewer on your domain who needs to sign in is redirected through our dashboard to authenticate, then bounced back to your domain with a session cookie scoped to your domain. They never feel like they left.
Mintlify-tier rendering
The basics are basic, the details are the details.
Three-pane layout with collapsible sidebar, working in-page search, anchored headings, code blocks with copy buttons, callouts, tables, image lightboxing.
The developer section embeds an interactive Scalar API reference when an OpenAPI spec exists, so "try it" works without a separate API explorer.
